Rene Veron - Film and Multimedia Composer

I am a composer, music producer, Spanish voice over talent, and bilingual audiobook director/producer based in New York City. I love creating unique sounds by combining classical, electronic, and pop music elements, and I'm passionate about exploring new artistic possibilities in the world of music and sound.

As a composer, my experience covers a wide range of genres, including film, TV, pop, commercials, and concert music. I've scored for various projects such as features and shorts, dramas, and documentaries. I have been fortunate to collaborate with acclaimed director Ram Devineni on films such as Ginsberg's Karma, Priya's Mask, The Hydra, and The Karma Killings. My compositions have also been featured on TV networks like History Channel, A+E Networks, Bravo, CBS, Oprah Winfrey Network, Discovery, FYI, and TVN Chile. Additionally, I've created music for commercial campaigns for clients such as Verizon, McDonald's, Chobani, Amnesty International, AARP, EY, and the World Economic Forum. Besides my work as a film composer, I'm a music producer and multi-instrumentalist. I have had the opportunity to produce, collaborate, and perform with various artists and bands, including Paddy Boom, Lorena Leigh, The Subskin Cables, Death by Comfort, Falu, and Pedro Pavez, among others.

Apart from music, I've also had a successful career as a voice actor and audiobook producer & director. I have lent my voice to numerous projects for clients such as Chase, AT&T, Cricket Wireless, USPS, Western Union, UPS, AC Hotels, and I work for publishers like Penguin Random House, Harper Audio, Benchmark Education, Hachette, and Audible. In 2017, I founded Union Square Audio, my audiobook/voice-over production studio.

I have multiple degrees in music, including a Master's in Music Technology/Composition from Duquesne University, and I've studied musicology, technology, music education, and voice acting. I'm an active member of professional organizations such as ASCAP, SAG-AFTRA, AES, and APA.

Currently, I'm working on some exciting new projects, including an album and a project funded by a 2023 NYSCA grant that involves creating new music with Artificial Intelligence. Originally from Chile, I currently live in NYC's East Village with my lovely wife and our two young children.

My goal is to continue exploring and expanding the possibilities of music and sound, while pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. I'm excited to see what the future holds, and I can't wait to share my work with the world!
